Each year, billions of toilet paper tubes end up in landfills. One toilet paper commercial says “That’s enough to fill the Empire State Building. Twice” Well there is one Paris-based artist Anastassia Elias who recycles them into tiny Magical Worlds inside a tube. The scenes range from nature settings to basketball games to a classroom filled with students and a room filled with tango dancers. In order to make the silhouettes appear like they are coming out of the roll, Anastassia uses the same color paper as the brown toilet paper rolls. The rolls are then back lit with a light to bring life into each scene.
